 Sally Annett is a practising Multi-media Artist with studios in Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes.

Over the past fifteen years she has produced private and public artworks, run events, projects and formulated policy in the UK and Internationally.

She has travelled extensively, spending time in France, New York, Ireland, Toronto and Hong Kong.

Annett works in a very involved manner, which often requires lengthy research processes. The multi-media/multi-disciplinary approach she feels is a natural reaction to the world and media around us.

Annett’s work is concerned with archetypal image and visual languages, which cut across social and cultural barriers.

Moved House and Studio to Olney Market Place

Organised the ‘Olney Showcase’, linking all three Arts venues in the town

 to create a Fine and Applied Arts platform.

Book launch for ‘The Atavist Tarot’ in memory of Annett’s father.

Developing the ‘Flowers’ series.

Re-wrote ‘The man in the Dress’, play.

Exhibited the ‘Atavist’ works @ the Dulwich Picture Gallery. First showing of the film ‘The Fool’s journey’.

Re-wrote the circular narratives of the ‘The Fool’s journey’ as a dance piece.

Attended the second Milton Keynes International Arts Symposium, producing ‘The Portraits’.

Exhibited a major section of the ‘Walking the Dogs’ series  @ MKG as part of the Silbury Groups’ ’10 Years On’.

Work selected for ‘Defining the Times’ exhibition MKG.

Commissioned by the Palace of Westminster to produce a series of paintings based on early Celtic Mythology for the Queens Royal Robing Rooms.

Co-produced the ‘Atavist’ CDROM, with Shepherd and Turner for Foulsham.

Birth of third child.

Being ‘trailed’ by Elizabeth Barnett as part of a European Commission Study into Arts and the Creative Industries, along with Stephen Snoddy,  and the Directors of The Disney Channel and Christies.

Participated in all Silbury Group events, exhibitions and workshops, [teaching].

Exhibited in Lithuania, ‘Travels in my suitcase’, Vilnius.

 2000

Exhibited in and Curated, ‘Arteopathy’ @ Westbury MK

Designed and created Events for VW Gedas, gedas united kingdom and Audi.

Produced a series of painted and photographic works of Architect, Sir John Soame’s last House, and Pell Wall for the Georgian Society.

Co-writing ‘Atavist’ with Shepherd and creating the 72 additional card images for the Atavist deck.

1999

Converted the Barns, Gallery and out buildings at Westbury into studio and Gallery spaces. [Annett, Edwards and Annett]. Facilitating potential for major exhibitions and international symposia and residencies.

Member of the Milton Keynes Cultural Diversity Forum.

Secured contracts with Foulsham The Publishing house to write and produce ‘Atavist’.

Curated and exhibited in ‘In/hibition’ at Westbury.

Showed work internationally with ‘The Women’s Book Project’

Joint winner of the VW Art Prize.

 1993

Annett established the first artist led studio group in Milton Keynes, 'The Gallery' this set a precedent by curating monthly exhibitions for

The Silbury Group of artists, highlighting the lack of arts/exhibition spaces within the city.

Together with the Late Sean Hennessey and Sir John Napelton, Annett and      fellow artist Deborah Dallyn secured Westbury Farm studios. 

Additionally

Annett has a varied educational CV, working for Oxon, Bucks,Beds, Birmingham, Education, Youth, Probation and SocialServices.

 Annett regularly attends Arts and Science symposia and spends time annually working near Poitiers, France on her sculptural and installation pieces.

She has advised Bedfordshire NHS on implementing a sustainable Arts policy within their NHS Hospitals.

Annett writes for publication and performance, her 1991 play 'The Man in the Dress' will be performed as part of the MK40th Celebrations.

She is currently Project Managing the 'Fledglings' relocation and extension for Bedfordshire County Council and working in partnership with Pre-school, Primary, Middle and Upper schools in Mid Beds, bringing genetics into the National curriculum as early as Year  One.

 Annett lives in the disappearing Bedfordshire country side with numerous animals and children.
